This is a web-based assessment designed to test the student's comprehension
of the course material. After a student enrolls for this type of course,
an "Enter the Module" link will be listed on their Transcript
page allowing them to access the assessment. When the assessment is
completed, the score and completion will automatically be updated
in the Avaya Learning Centre. |

This course type represents a CD-ROM or Video that is sent from a
fulfillment center. Students who enroll themselves into the course
will view an order form where they can fill out the shipping information
and submit it for fulfillment. If a student is enrolled by a Training
Coordinator, the item will be shipped to the address that is on their
Personal Information page in the Avaya Learning Centre. When a student
has completed the materials, they can click the "Mark Activity Completion"
on the Transcript page. |

This course type represents a traditional instructor-led course which
is facilitated by an Instructor and delivered in a classroom. You
will enroll into an instructor-led "session," which is the specific
instance of the course. If there is no space left in the session,
you may be given the option to join the waitlist. After
you attend the course, the instructor will mark your enrollment complete. |

This is a web-based course accessible from the Avaya Learning Centre.
Some of these courses have automatic tracking capability within the
Learning Management System (LMS), that is the LMS recognizes completion
of the course and automatically updated the student's transcript.
Course that allow for this automatic tracking capability are developed
to a set of standards known as AICC / SCORM. A majority of the courses
on the Avaya Learning Centre are of this type.
There are some online courses that are not AICC / SCORM compliant.
These courses have no automatic tracking capability within the Avaya
Learning Centre. Students launch to the course content from a provided
link, but no status is automatically updated in the Avaya Learning
Centre. After the student enrolls, the course can be accessed from
the "Enter the Course" link on their Transcript page.
After the student has completed the course, they must return to
the Transcript page and manually update the completion status by
clicking "Mark Activity Completion."

This course type is a virtual instructor led course delivered through
Interwise. Interwise is a secure e-learning collaboration tool for
delivery. Using this tool, a moderator or instructor will be able
to generate a virtual classroom that allows for up to 30 participants
to interact regardless of their geographic location. Interwise allows
for the moderator to use numerous teaching tools to convey the course
information to the students. A few of these tools are instructional
slides, voice over IP, interactive polls and questions, document and
application sharing, and breakout sessions. These tools promote a
highly interactive environment for teaching students in a virtual
instructor led platform. |
